Curriculum Vitae
Yindong focuses his practice on international arbitration, including both investment treaty arbitration and commercial arbitration.
Yindong read law at Tsinghua University, ranking top at his class. He went on to obtain the MJur from the University of Oxford. During his studies, Yindong was awarded various academic and mooting prizes.
Yindong interned at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs and international law firms. He also assisted a Hong Kong based international arbitrator.
Yindong’s academic work on private law and international arbitration has been presented at academic conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Yindong is native in Chinese and fluent in English.

- WG II Dispute Settlement: Advised the Republic of Moldova on its arbitration law reform. Drafted case notes for CLOUT databse. Assessed institution rules’ compliance with UNCITRAL instruments.
- WG III ISDS Reform: Drafted the Provisions on Procedural and Cross-cutting Issues. Complied comments received from member States. Assisted with preparation of the working group’s 50th session.
- WG V Insolvency Law: Revised the Draft Toolkit for Expedited Civil
Asset Tracing and Recovery in Insolvency Proceedings (ATR). Translated the online course on UNCITRAL insolvency texts.
Arbitral Assistant Intern
- Supported an international arbitrator who has developed significant practice in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Researched and responded to legal questions from the arbitrator.
- Drafted various legal documents, including Terms and Conditions of Tribunal’s Appointment.
